1. Information We Collect

When you register and provide payment details, we collect:

Business Information:

Business name, location/address, search tags, and promotional media.

Contact Information:

Name, email address, and phone number.

Payment Information (Tokenized):

We collect the billing address and basic cardholder details. We do not collect, capture, or store your full credit card number, CVV, or expiration date.

2. How We Handle Your Payment Data

Direct Processing via Paystack:

When you enter your card details on our platform, the data is encrypted and sent directly to our payment partner, Paystack (Pty) Ltd.

PCI DSS Compliance:

Paystack is audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider. This is the highest level of certification available in the payments industry.

What We Keep:

Vanguard only retains a secure token generated by Paystack, a masked card number (e.g., **** **** **** 1234), and the card's expiration date to help you identify which payment method is active on your account and to facilitate the automatic billing of your R200/month subscription.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Confirm your successful sign-up and process your initial R100.00 promotional registration fee.
  • Automatically process your recurring R200.00 monthly subscription starting exactly 1 month later.
  • Create and manage your Vanguard Directory listing.
  • Communicate with you regarding your account, billing failures, or policy updates.

4. Data Security

We implement strict, industry-standard security measures, including 256-bit SSL encryption, to protect your data during transmission. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your business and billing information at any time via your Vanguard dashboard. Deleting your billing information will result in the cancellation of your premium subscription at the end of your current billing or trial period.
